On
Sunday, February 24th the Four Seasons Trail will host the Brave
the Blizzard Snowshoe Poker Run. The run will begin and end
at the new Four Seasons Lodge on Spring St. Snowshoers of all
ages are encouraged to attend. This should be a fun event for
people of all abilities. Time will not be a factor and everyone
is encouraged to take their time and enjoy the trails.
Snowshoeing
is gaining in popularity as more and more people discover
this great way to get fresh air and excercise while experiencing
the Maine outdoors. As many enthusiasts in the area have already
discovered, Madawaska has a great
system of scenic snowshoe trails. Many of these trails are
maintained by private individuals who generously invite the
public to make use of them. The Brave the Blizzard Poker Run
will be the perfect introduction to this trail system which
is right in our back yard.
Chicken stew will be served
at the Lodge and the first 50 registered participants will
recieve a free t-shirt.(Only 2 t-shirts per family registration)
A limited number of pairs of snowshoes will be available to
borrow on a first come first served basis.
